Arrival:

We recommend arriving by public transportation or carpooling to reduce emissions and help smooth traffic flow on Nuuksiontie.

The drive from Helsinki to Nuuksio takes about 30–40 minutes by car, or approximately an hour using public transport (local train + bus). Please note that bus 245(A) from Espoon Keskus to Nuuksio runs less frequently – be sure to check the train schedule in advance to find a suitable connection.

Accessibility:

The Reindeer Park is accessed by wide wooden plank path from the car park (approx. 60 m) and a few steps at the end.

Driving instructions Helsinki - Nuuksiontie 83

Turku highway - Nupurintie (old Turuntie 110) - Nuuksiontie

Exit the Turku highway (road no. 1) at the Ikea junction, turn right and go up.

• At the second traffic light, turn left towards Veikkola, drive under Ring III, and continue on Nupurintie (road no. 110). After about 5 km, turn right following the signs: Nuuksio / Solvalla.

• Pass the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia by about 1 km, then turn right. At the junction, you'll see signs for Karhunpesä and Nuuksio Reindeer Park. Drive up to our private parking lot. Note: The Reindeer Park customers share the same parking area with those who have booked Karhunpesä's cabin, so parking spots are limited. A larger parking area is located in front of the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia.

🔹 Note! Parking on private roads is strictly prohibited. Residents must have access to their properties, and snowplows must be able to clear the roads without obstruction in the winter.

Enter through the gate and walk along the boardwalk up to the ticket sales.

Please note that while train and bus schedules are synchronized, bus 245(A) to Nuuksio runs less frequently, so check the bus schedule first and then adjust your train schedule accordingly.
